01-Oct-2005 Hoydens vs. Morrigans (32-0)
The newly formed Morrigans from Joliet, IL traveled to play the Hoydens on Saturday October 1st. The big pack of the Morrigans caught the Hoydens off guard for a rough first half played primarily on the Hoyden defensive end of the field. The Hoydens defense however stood their ground for an 8-0 score at the half courtesy of a try by Rookie Marshall, that was the outcome of a strong surge by the Hoyden packies, and also a beautiful drop kick by Cereal Hughes.
A string of strong plays and resurgence by the Hoydens ignited in the 2nd half as tries were scored by Jesseca Johnson another by Rookie Marshall as well as Cereal and Suzi Dillon. Conversion kicks were posted one each by Niner Hansen and Cereal. The final score was 32-0.
Player of the Match honors were given to Ginger Marshall for outstanding play from the flanker position and Rookie Marshall for stepping up her game. The Hoydens are currently 2-0 this season.
